Discovering the New Canvas - #CanvasTab

The strokes of old brushes canvas go wary as we welcome the new - Micromax Canvas Tab P666. Its end of the year, and tomorrow begins a fresh season of life. Tomorrow begins, a new dawn, a dawn which won't belong to 2014, but to a new significant digit of 2015. As humans, we progress, we improve and we learn - so with the same tendency, I have decided, I have made a resolution - I want to rediscover my passion. Re-discover the fire which burns inside me, its time to let it come out and blow away the obstructions in my path. My Passion - I want to be an entrepreneur.

With a similar approach to my passion, and my urging want for Micromax Canvas Tab P666, there are ways which open for me, and the paths I should travel. Lets see, how efficient it can be for me, and if it turns efficient for me, there is no reason why it wouldn't be for you.

  • Entrepreneurship demands to be connected to everyone 24/7
With Micromax Canvas Tab P666 and with its Intel atom powered processor, I could be rest assured that connectivity for the duration of a day or more won't be my reason for concern. With Multitasking at hand,

  • Entrepreneurship demands to think, act and dream BIG.
With Micromax Canvas Tab P666 and its huge screen, I might not miss an important piece of information, work or a document unheeded. With the screen size of 20.32 cm and WXGA IPS screen, it withholds the capability to deliver beauty to you. • Entrepreneurship demands to have style in your work.
There isn't much debate about the style of work playing a major part of someone's inclination to success. And, being an Entrepreneur, letting down myself with slow speeds, low resolutions of life wouldn't help me define a better style for myself. Micromax Canvas P666's unique and sleek design would let me define my style better. 7.9 mm sleek design would surely motivate me to spend much more time on my work, that is, working on the tab itself.

  • Entrepreneurship demands endurance!
It isn't a surprise to know that to achieve milestones in your life, there are things you to need to do - Working continuously for hours is one such thing. But, it becomes a joy if you have a partner to support you with the same way - Hence with Micromax Canvas P666's long battery duration, I know for a fact that it won't disappoint me.
With over 325 hours of stand by time, it can be my weapon and as a savoir in the times of my build up!

I wanted to be an Artist, my father didn't agree.

He stood their nonchalantly with voices shouting deep inside his heart, but silence was all he could convey. His words now conveyed no meaning, or perhaps they spoke words no one wanted to listen. He knew, he spoke in a dialect, no one would try to comprehend, in a way, directly from heart.

"I don't want to do Engineering, I want to be an Artist", He had practiced saying this not once, but million times, but each of those million times, the only audience he could gather, was his mirror where practiced and the reflection which stared him back with a glare of defeat. His father was a military man, pretty stern in his decisions and belonged to a category of society where the child's future, dreams and aspirations were all - predetermined. He was bonded, with his family customs. Whenever he gathered courage to speak, there always erupt a discussion on his cousins or relatives who had performed well in their 12th class or were admitted to a highly acclaimed Engineering college of India. Those were the times, when his father would say coherently to his mother, "Dekhna, hamara beta toh unse bhi acha karega".

There did not remain an option to carry forward to, perhaps the world of alphas. Betas and gammas dazed him and did not let him breathe freely in the open air. He wanted to shine like the colour red, or flow royally like the colour blue. Deeps inside his heart, he had words in his strokes of brush, and each stroke conveyed an expression which made everyone around him smile. Those visions which travelled far and wide. His father was blind to these colours, he never congratulated him on the awards he had got on his art competitions. But, he was determined to open the eyes, of not just his father, but the pretence which he had been carrying for long.

"Ye kya hai? firse 52%?", his father said with anger in his words, but less fierce than what was witnessed in his eyes. He had given up, in terms of inspirations and motivation, and the colours had started to fade, not just from his heart, but from the strokes of his brushes too. He knew something had to be done, sooner or later, but it was just the matter of time.

3 days to his birthday, the bigger boy had to make a decision, the one that could change his life.

‘Papa’, he approached with fear in his eyes, and body which trembled with every breath.
‘Haan?’ his father queried back, looking up from his newspaper.
He hesitated a bit, but he knew, if not now, it won’t be ever.
“Papa, I don’t want to do Engineering after 12th”, he said with the voices at the end of the sentences fading consistently with every word.
“Hmm..”, His father stood up and went to his room.

Perhaps, the silence conveyed all his messages back and forth. But it was for the first time. He could breathe in peace, for he had spoken in peace, spoken in heaven, and spoken the truth. He really understood, ki kitna sach hota hai sacchai mein…
It was the morning of his birthday, but he seemed relent lent to celebrate.  It seemed that there wasn't any reason to do, until his father walked in with a gift. It was the first time the two of them spoke after their silence conversation.
His father brought him, the gift which in turn brought tears to his eyes. A packet of professional paint brushes, which now expressed his emotions in tears.
His father hugged him, perhaps it was the first time, he had seen his father’s military figure melt down like that. That was the day, he always cherished, and realized, how beautiful it is, and how much happiness lies, in truth.

"Sometimes when telling the truth could get us into trouble, we tend to lie or omit details to avoid it. Although this seems like a great temporary solution, it weighs on our conscience. In a blog post, tell us about a time in your life where telling the truth was the right thing to do. "

Melbourne - The City Which Lived.

Source
Its the refreshing memoirs of brawling animals which you might witness in the Melbourne Zoo, Victoria or the shouting souls, screaming passions and yelling eyes observing the greatness of sport being played at, what is famously known as MCG or Melbourne Cricket Ground. Words are too less to describe the liveliness, spread along every inch of nine thousand and nine hundred square kilometers of Melbourne. A privilege and an honor to know the fact that it has been voted, and ranked as the world's most livable city since 2011, by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). We take no credits away, it has deserved that place, a place renowned for luxuries, happiness, and what we merely thrive in today's time - Life.

Melbourne Zoo - Source
It is the second most populous city of Australia, and rightfully so,  there are reasons to it.
The beautiful Werribee Mansion makes you travel back to 19th century, delivering messages of past and of, simplified yet, mystically beautiful nature. The mansion consists of a separate 5-star luxurious accommodation which not only makes you feel like a royal petition attached to your living, but also, the gleaming beauty which it provides to your eyes. Not far away, lies another magnanimous location, The Victoria State Rose Garden, which also won the prestigious 'World Federation of Rose Societies Award For Garden Excellence' acclamation, which did a justice to its different world aura of giant shaped rose which mesmerizes every soul present at a point.

There are way too many reasons to love this city, than to put them down on paper. Apart from the excellence it has reached in terms of education, entertainment, healthcare, research and development, sports and tourism, it has also received some well-known acclamation for the quality of life it serves to its in-habitats

Located on the large natural bay - Port Philip, it delivers an unmatched experience in having a look at the sea-life. The Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, located on 'Corner King Street & Flinders Street' Melbourne is a home to thousands of Aquatic Creatures, one of which, also includes, Australia's largest salt water crocodiles. An interactive aquarium, realizes the wonder range, from Icy waters of Antarctica to the depths of the blue kingdom. Its home to the creatures well known to the world, as the mighty birds of Antarctica, Penguins. The aquarium houses a playground for the same, so that you do not miss a chance to get a glance of the heaven so called. The streaming location of Melbourne also houses, a spectacular analytic place called Australian Shark and Ray Centre. It gives you an experience to feed the stingrays and sharks. Such moments are worth preserving for a lifetime, and Melbourne is such a place that a single lifetime, won't be suffice to witness the greatness it consists.

There a beautiful saying, a place's habitats are often the derivations from the cultures it has held back in past, the historic values, which it has passed from one generation to another, and with every curve of change, it learns something innovative and then, like an old man teaching values to his children, passes on the knowledge for the generation ahead. Somewhat similar has been the journey of Melbourne, talking about the historical values, we take a look to one of the glorious Melbourne Museum, located on the Carlton Gardens, Victoria. It showcases Australia's ever-lived history and social importance, with its developing cultures. Winner of 'Australian Tourism Awards For Best Tourist Attraction In Australia' in 2011. It is known for celebrating Victoria's local Koorie cultural celebrations. One can witness the art and history in Melbourne's Story Exhibition here.

Melbourne Star Observation Wheel (Source)
There are new and innovative places coming, in order to experience the natural, and the much-worked beautiful architecture which is built over the ages. One such observatory is Melbourne Star Observation Wheel which allows you to have a look at the places, from a place we all wanted to be in, through a flying experience. It gives a new perspective which inculcates a unique experience of history, culture and a blend of both. And this is just not it, there are places whose experience can only be felt, and not be written in text, some of the places which include the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Museum which we talked about above, the exhilarating Zoo, and the beautiful and yet National Gallery of Victoria.

Street Art, (Source)
Talking about the cultures, it includes various festivals, live celebrations, Street cultures and many more. In particularity, in 2010, Melbourne's street art was named as the world's best street view by International Times Magazine. Prior to which, in 2008, its Street View Cultures were voted as the best by lonely planet's readers. Australia's ballet centre Melbourne, celebrates many more live performances which can be marketed only through the distances of eyes to the souls connecting them.

So, if someone asks, What's my reason for falling in love with the Melbourne? I would most instinctively say, "Its the city itself, Melbourne".

We have made a small list to the places we found to be much more better experienced than written about, here it is:-

  • Old Melbourne Gaol
  • Eureka Skydeck 88 - for a reason that the top floor matches the number in the name.
  • Queen Victoria Market
  • Werribee Open Range Zoo
  • Crown Entertainment Complex
  • Federation Square
  • Royal Botanic Garden
Its truly amazing, what beauty these places with-hold inside them, and as I already mentioned, one lifetime won't be suffice to enthrall yourself with the amusing and spectacular beauty of Melbourne. I was delighted to see Tourism Victoria Website with all its glory.

Safety Begins With Me - #TheSafeHabit

To Natasha,

As I strolled down the empty lane, there seemed a void difficult to fill in the midnight. Way past the twelve-o-clock line,  I knew you would be angry. It was our wedding anniversary, and I did not forget it, believe me. Struck up in some office work, you were constantly there in my thoughts, and I wished to reach home as soon as possible. The minutes were tickling slower than ever, it seemed that it would take eternity to entrap the hand a full rotation of that watch's dial. Or, probably, it was my stare which had forced it to stop in its tracks, I was unaware. We all wrapped up the remaining work, and I left for home. My friends, told me to have a drink to relax, for it had been many long hours that we all had been working. You might not believe me, but I refused. I apologized, and I left. I was proud, I was happy, that I was finally coming back to you. I did look for flower merchants all along the way, I couldn't find one.

It seemed a long way, 20 minutes to home, were suddenly the hours which I would cross. It was similar to a desert crossing, remember? You had told me about one. As I passed certain landmarks, each made me remember you, and I started to plan the things we would do the following day. I passed the theater where we watched our first movie, I passed our first restaurant, where we dined. I passed the lanes where we would have walks back in our days. Everything seemed coming back to me, and it all seemed wonderful. Honestly, I couldn't decide onto what we would do tomorrow. Whatever it was, I wanted it to be with you.

Have you ever wondered about the night traffic lights? They blink together, the reds as if signifying some kind of harmony with each other, and it reminded me of you again. It reminded me of times when we stood out together, blinking away problems just like that.

Thanks to Source
I was missing you too much, I knew you wouldn't have been to bed yet, you must be waiting for me. So I drove faster, I wanted to reach to you, I wanted to be with you as soon as possible. In a blink of an eye, in a spur of a moment. I picked up my phone, to hear your voice, hardly did I know, I was doing it for the last time. With each tune keypad played as I typed your name on my phone, death immortalized in me, which I did not seem to realize. Perhaps, it was too late to realize, after the truck had struck the car in full force, and I was lying helpless, with my phone in my hand, and the dial pad finally pressed. I wanted to apologize, I would not be able to make it. I would not answer your waiting call, or I would not celebrate the day tomorrow. I wanted to apologize, I had made a 'you' out of 'we'.

Please don't cry Natasha, it was my fault. Do not blame the truck driver, I was on the phone trying to connect to you. I apologize for many things, but significantly for giving you a gift which you never deserved. If there would been any last wish of mine, it would be just, do tell our children, that Safety Begins With Us. You might never receive this letter Natasha, for god doesn't deliver them from here.

~*~*~*~

It is truly important to understand the meaning of life, and being a path of life, a path where all destinations connect, Safe driving has got to be the numero uno position to take care of.
You see, quite honestly, everything starts from us. A beautiful quote by Mahatma Gandhi, reflects this simple thinking in the smallest yet, largest things in life. It says, "Be the change you want to see the world in". Quite similarly, it is not just the defining or shouting screams to other drivers/motorists for not driving properly, but also to hold a mirror in front and look at ourselves.

There can be number of steps that can be taken to improve the prevention of such disastrous outcomes:-

  • In a nation of population more than 1 billion, there has to be a crowd jumbling at a station, but then again, don't we know the steps to arrange the stack? A personal level training to each obtainment of driving license should be done. We need to show, that not-everywhere you can make the green notes work.
  • There have been thousands or more than that, campaigns of opposition of Drink and Drive, yet there seems un-matched ignorance in terms of this simplified idea. It not only hurts you, but the ones without it too.
  •  Coming back to the use of hari patti, Its time it shouldn't work on traffic police.
  • Have your vehicle checked on regular basis to avoid any discoveries on the spot of accident? You see, precaution is better than the cure.

And not only these, if above all - we respect the ones waiting for us at home, at places where we left them, then situations would rather take a different turn.

This post is written for Nissan Safety Driving Forum. It conveys that Responsibility on the road is not just toward's one's own self but also to the other motorists and pedestrians. In a blog post, tell us what steps, according to you, would help with road safety in India.

Do have a look at the information below.

The Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., conducts the Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF) in India as part of its safety driving promotion activities. The program began as an annual activity in 2012. In its initial phase it covered three main Indian cities – New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai – and since then has gradually expanded to several additional cities across India. This year, NSDF would reach 8 new cities – Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Vadodara, Nagpur, Chennai, Mangalore and Kochi. The overall reach and engagement levels have phenomenally grown and NSDF has effectively reached close to 2 lakh citizens. It continues to stay committed to its core objective of promoting safe driving behaviour in India. Compared to the previous year, NSDF has witnessed an impressive 126% growth in the sensitisation of wearing seatbelts. In addition, NSDF also conducts live simulated experiences around air bags through a simulated car crash. A 360-degree turn over highlights the use of seat belts, while sessions on road safety emphasises on road etiquette to stay safe. Under its Blue Citizenship CSR umbrella, NSDF by Nissan works to build awareness of safe driving in India. NSDF encourages drivers and passengers to wear seat belts, and participants learn through interactive activities the importance of wearing sea tbelts. Nissan seeks to support reducing fatalities and injuries caused by traffic accidents, and NSDF represents the company's commitment in contributing to young, vibrant and mobile India.
